| Navigation |
| After you started Color Evolver for an image, the whole image is shown as large as possible in the image window. You can navigate the image window around the image, like zoom in, zoom out, select a visible part and shift the window center. Navigation here means to change the display state in the image window. Here, the display state of the image window means the combination of the scale between image pixel and screen pixel and image window center position on the image All the navigations are started from clicking a button on the tool bar above the image window. |
|  There are nine buttons on the tool bar as described below.

| Undo/Redo Undo means to restore earlier display state and Redo means the reverse. Color Evolver always remember every change in display states. |
| Refresh Color Evolver will refresh display in the image window. |
| Actual Size Show the image in its actual size, i.e. one image pixel per screen pixel. Image window's center will at the same point on the image. |
| Fit Window Show the whole image in the image window in largest possible scale. Image window's center will aim at center of the image. |
| Scales After you have select a scale, image will be displayed in that scale. Image window's center will at the same point on the image. |
| Shift Using your mouse, you can drag a point on image to anywhere else. Image will be shifted so that the point is shown at the new position. Color Evolver will draw a red line to indicate the shift.
Clicking this button, you enter Shift Focus Mode. Re-Click the button will exit the mode. You have to exit this mode to do other operation with your mouse.

| Select Using you mouse, you can drag from one point to another. The rectangle area between the two points will be shown as large as posssible in the image window Color Evolver will draw a red rectangle to indicate the area.
Clicking this button, you enter Select Visible Area Mode. Re-Click the button will exit the mode. You have to exit this mode to do other operation with your mouse.

| Zoom Using you mouse, you can drag from one point to another. The distances from the two points to the image window center will decide a ratio to rescale the image. Two circles around the window center and passing the two points will indicate the two distances. Image window's center will at the same point on the image. Clicking this button, you entered zoom Mode. In this mode, image window center will be at the same point on image. Re-Click the button will exit the mode. You have to exit this mode to do other operation with your mouse.
